Today the whole school went out on to the field to do the cross country. The Middle Syndicate girls went first, and then the Middle Syndicate boys. We ran around the field, out the Seymour Street gate, along the footpath, in the Shands Road gate, up the driveway and back around the field twice, and then up the finishing chute. Mrs Jones recorded the names of the first 10 boys and girls. In our class Sean was 1st, Jakeb was 5th, Quintin was 7th, Jermaine was 8th and Dom was 10th. In the girls race Emily was 1st, Sharayah was 3rd and Eden was 4th. We all did really well. We had been practicing for 3 weeks, and we all tried our B.E.S.T. (tried to get better every single time). When we were running down the finishing chute we felt – embarrassed, amazing, proud, nervous, hot, sweaty, exhausted, successful and relieved. When our race was over we sat down and supported the Juniors and Seniors as they came down the finishing chute.
WTG Room 12, an impressive result. Love the sibling rivalry between Sean and Ash!!!! Glad the triathlons and duathlons have paid off ;)
