We are watching the snow flakes fall outside while we work. 10 people away today but lots of fun for those that are here! Will post again later with more photos. Stay tuned...
Today the Fire Service visited South Hornby. First we had a 45 minute lesson in the hall about how to be "fire-wise". We had to crawl under a black sheet and pretend it was black smoke, and evacuate to our safe meeting place. After lunch we learnt all about the fire appliance. We saw all the tools, hoses and gear. We got to climb inside and have a look around. They saved the most exciting part for last - we got to squirt water at the swimming pool with the fire hose.
Today was our first day of Fonterra Milk for Schools. After morning tea the Senior syndicate milk monitors delivered our milk. Then we went through the 3 steps: Slurp it, Fold it, Send it Back.
We drank our milk while we were doing our Reading work. Then we went through the folding process step by step. Lastly we put them in the recycling bin.
