We have been taking photos with the ipads. We are learning about using frames, angles, light and lines to make our photos more interesting.
Task: Take a series of photos using frames. What can you find to frame your subject?
Task: Take a serires of photos using angles to make the image interesting. Can you make someone big by pointing the camera up at them? Can you make someone look small? Can you take a tricky pic?
Task: Take a series of photos using light to make the image more interesting. Experiment with the flash. Where can you find the light and dark in your room?
Task: Take a series of photos using lines. Where can you find interesting lines at school?
The school choir performed for the Middle Syndicate this week. Next week they fly over to Adelaide to spend the week at Hawthorndene Primary School for our biennial exchange. They sang a selection of songs for us. Here are few photos.
Mrs Jones is reading The 26-Storey Treehouse (by Andy Griffiths) to us at the moment - and we are loving it! It is about Andy and Terry who live in a 26-storey tree house with a shark pool, an ice skating rink with real penguins, an ice cream parlour with 78 flavours run by an ice cream serving robot called Edward Scooperhands and the Maze of Doom.
My name is Angela Jones (Mrs Jones). I have been teaching at South Hornby School for 20 years. I have taught new entrants through to Year 5. I am the leader of the Middle Syndicate team of 4 classes of Year 3 and 4 students. I love my job!
